Family Support Services
Family Support Services (FSS) provides comprehensive case management services to pregnant and parenting teens/adults. Eligible clients must have a child under the age of 5. We serve Southern Alameda County. Our services are free, voluntary and confidential.
Our promise to our clients:
Being a parent and or expecting your first child is exciting and filled with many ups and downs. While working with a case manager, you will get support and help you develop responsible, competent, and positive parenting skills. Case managers will provide monthly visits with clients in the home, at the FSS office, or at their school site.
Services provided by the case manager include:
Health education, child development screening and support, educational and vocational support, assistance with financial and housing needs and with parenting skills education.
“It would have been easy to get sidetracked. Claudia helped me set and organize my goals, and encouraged me to take advantage of the resources that would help me get there. I know a thank you is not enough, I have so much love and respect for her.” S.T
“The FSS program provided me with a lot of people willing to support me and check on my well-being, not only as a young mother, but as a person dealing with hardships in life.” E.R
