Think Pink This October!

October is a time to honor breast cancer survivors and raise awareness about steps we can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer.

American Cancer Society. Breast Cancer Facts and Figures 2017-2018. Atlanta: American Cancer Society, Inc. 2017.

Health care should be a right, not a privilege, and so should early detection or screening. The importance of screening is to help all people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it may be more treatable.

As women, we tend to put others first. Now is the time to ensure we put ourselves first. We encourage all women 40 and over to discuss screenings and early detection with their health care team. Our health matters! If you are 40 and over, and in need of screening, make the appointment today, by calling or texting (510) 471-5880.
