BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Yolanda Triana, SEcretary was born in the old Hayward Hospital and has lived most of her life in Decoto, California, now part of Union City. Yolanda has been active in the community since 1962 serving as the first president of the newly formed Union City Teen Club. As a mother she was involved with youth sports and served on the Board of Directors for the Union City Football League. Appointed on numerous commissions with Human Relations... 

Paul means joined the Board of Directors of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center in February,2007. Paul has a BS in civil engineering from UC Berkeley and is a licensed professional engineer practicing with a design firm in San Francisco. He has been in the engineering field for about 20 years and is a lifelong resident of the tri-cities area.

Lupe deanda rejoined the Board of Directors of TVHC in September, 2008. Originally on the Board from 1992 through 1996 she is a life long resident of the Tri-City area. She grew up on 9th Street in Union City right down the block from TVHC. She recalls the trailers where people sought care and she is herself a consumer at TVHC. With a background in Early Childhood Development, Lupe worked for 26 years with the Head Start Program serving low income children and their families.

Jesse Robles, treasurer joined Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center Board of Directors in 2006 and presently serves as Chair, of the Finance committee; He is currently employed by Altaquip as a Supervisor and Buyer., Mr. Robles has been involved in Meals on Wheels, and the American Cancer Society “Relay for life “events and very interested in making health care available to all. Mr. Robles is also an Air Force Veteran.

Juan Gomez, President joined the Board of Directors of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center in April, 1992.

Kathy Strother, Vice President joined the Board of Directors of the Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center in October, 2001 and is the current Board Vice President.  She was recruited by a former Board member, Laura Melendrez.  Kathy feels that volunteering on this Board is a good way to give back to the community that she has lived and worked in for most of her life.  Her background has been mostly administration, personnel and supervision...

Nancy Soto, second vice president has been on the Tiburcio Vasquez Board for 12 years and has served as President and Committee Chair for the Personnel Committee; she currently is Chair of the Nominating Committee. Nancy is an Early Childhood Development, Professional  Development Coordinator at Chabot College in Hayward and has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 25 years. She has managed early childhood programs...

Joey c. buenrostro joined the Board of Directors of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center in April, 2009. Joey is a C.N.A. completing his degree in Biological Health at Chabot College and has been involved for the past 6 years in health care in various roles, such as substance abuse counseling and rehabilitation for the Autistic. He also holds his A.A. Degree in Theology. Currently Joey resides in Hayward, CA.

Ahmad Asir joined the Board of Directors of Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center in October, 2008. A Political Science major at Chabot College and Vice President of the Associated Students of Chabot College. His interest in serving on the Board is to be a representative for youth as well as the whole community.
