Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition program that helps mothers and young children eat well and stay healthy. It serves low income pregnant, post-partum, and breast feeding women, infants and children under five.

 

The TVHC WIC program provides services that also include educational classes, case management, outsourcing, nutrition assessment and a premier support group. WIC is dedicated to improving the health of program participants during critical times of growth and development.

Text Box: We offer services to infants and young children (ages 0-5) and their caregivers, families and to pregnant and parenting teens/young adults (up to their 21st birthday) and their children. These two populations are served in English, Spanish and Arabic languages currently. We provide strength based individual therapy, family therapy, play therapy to support the young adult, teen, child and caregiver-child dyadic therapy.

Students receive comprehensive primary care services including well child exams, sports physicals, reproductive health, mental health counseling, health education and after school programs.
